Night at the Secret Cinema

5 May

Breakfast

After a few months of working from home, it’s finally back to an office. Rushed out of the door, so it was a hurried breakfast of few handfuls of homemade granola and a banana.

Lunch

– Chicken breast with sides of garlic bread and corn on the cob

It’s always good to introduce people to Nando’s and see how much they enjoy it.

Tea-time

I heard about Chaboba via Twitter, and since I was in the area, I had to try their bubble tea. Picked a lychee green tea and added mixed jellies. Yummy. Preferred this to Bubbleology.

Dinner

My friend had a spare ticket to the Secret Cinema, and invited me along. So glad I went – it was a wonderful experience. I’d post more photos, but as it’s still going on until Sunday, I don’t want to spoil the surprise. It’s not just a movie – you get immersed in the mood of the film, with a little theatre thrown in as well. Dinner was a delicious (if slightly cold) chicken kebab.

Is the film name under some kind of press embargo?
Can we take turns to guess?
Th venue looks pretty underground so I’m guessing some kind of counter-culture film from the 80s?

Don’t let the entryway fool you. It was more of a late 50s/early 60s theme.

    Hey, great blog!

Have you tried ‘Popping Boba’ in Chaboba?

Definately gotta try it if its your first time. It pops fruit juice in your mouth when you bite into it. Its weird but sooo cool.

The skin of the popping boba is made from seaweed extract and inside is fruit juice. Comes in many different flavours 😀

    Ask them for a sample.

I haven’t tried popping boba, but I’ll be sure to try it next time.
