Visiting the Saatchi Gallery

28 May

The Shape of Things to Come: New Sculpture exhibition at Saatchi Gallery is quite interesting. Some disturbing pieces, some that just left me scratching my head, and a few that I really liked.

Breakfast

– Rye & currant toast with sliced banana and honey drizzled on top
– Red grapefruit

Snack

– 1 Dr Karg spelt muesli crispbread
– Some strawberries
– Handful of cashew nuts

Late lunch

Such a delicious lunch! Arancini risotto balls with a salad that had apple, pickle, sultanas, cucumber, sweet corn and deep fried onion scratchings.

Mid-afternoon

– Rhubarb tart (bottom was slightly burnt)
– Peppermint tea

Dinner

– Tau kwa teriyaki chicken ‘burger’ with chive mushrooms
– Roasted broccoli with garlic puree

I was trying to recreate my favourite dish from PS Cafe in Singapore, back when they had just started out in a boutique at Paragon shopping centre, and before they became super trendy and expensive.
