Yauatcha and more shopping

12 Jun

Wery excited about this weekend’s buys, but not excited about the giant hole in the pocket.

Breakfast

– Half an avocado with black pepper on rye toast
– Pan fried pomodorino tomatoes

Lunch

– Har gau
– Scallop dumplings
– Chive & prawn dumplings
– Char siu buns
– Sweetcorn & taro croquette
– Spring onion puff
– Three mushroom cheong fun
– Tea-smoked ribs

Very disappointing – most of the dumplings were overly steamed, rendering the dumplings skins soggy. Certainly not worth the high price tag. Doubt I’d return – I’d rather spend that money at Min Jiang or Royal China Club.

Tea-time

Shopping is thirsty work, so fresh mint tea from Le Pain Quotidien in Soho was very welcome.

Dinner

– Pak choy with shitake mushrooms
– Firm tofu with furikake (Japanese sprinkles)
